THE MANAGEMENT OF the Legend Hotel last week denied
reports of food poisoning that caused the death
of a guest from Batangas Province recently.
In a press conference, Ms Susan Ong, Hotel Manager,
said authorities findings showed that the late Councilor
Francisco Calinao died due to hypertension and not
in a food poisoning as the national tabloids reported.
Councilor Calinao was in town for a convention when
the incident transpired.

SENATOR LOREN LEGARDA on Sunday this week vowed
to support the provincial government of Palawan
in its’ claim of the 40% share in the Camago-Malampaya
gas proceeds. The statement was issued in a press
conference held at the Provincial Governor’s
Office after the formal opening of the week-long
Baragatan festival on Sunday. Senator Legarda had
come all the way from Manila to grace the proceedings
as the guest of honor of the Baragatan opening.
