Seminar on tourism-related establishments held

A two-day seminar on tourism-related establishments was successfully held last week at Hotel Fleuris, this City. At least forty-six (46) individuals participated in this Provincial Tourism Office initiated seminar, - designed to provide inputs on license processing to the tourism related-establishment operators in the city and Palawan province.
The participants, on their second day, were treated to an actual inspection of Department of Tourism (DOT) accredited establishments in Palawan to wit: Palawan Hotel for the hotel category; Asiaworld Resort Hotel for the resort hotel category; Palawan Wildlife and Rescue Center (PWRC) and Estrella Falls for the theme park category; and Princessa Holiday in Aborlan for the beach resort category.
The facilitators in the two-day seminar were Louella Jurilla, DOT Region IV Regional Director; Atty. Ma. Victoria Jasmin from the DOT main office and director of the Office of Tourism Standards; and Ms Maritess Castro, DOT Region IV Supervising Tourism Operations Officer. (PAIO-PR)   ^ Top
