MPW Task Force holds Info-caravan on Mango pulp-weevil

In an effort to totally eradicate the mango pulp weevil that continue to wreak havoc the province’s mango industry, the Provincial Government’s Task Force on Mango pulp-weevil (MPW) is currently conducting an information caravan to disseminate mango pulp weevil control and eradication information. Headed by the Mango pulp-weevil Task Force, the group also aims to share and educate the local mango growers on the operation of an x-ray machine, useful in detecting pulp-weevil.
Currently, the task force is busy roving the barangays of Puerto Princesa City and hopes to commence its info-caravan in the southern municipalities this April.
The task force is composed of personnel from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, DA-Palawan, Office of the City Agriculturist and Bureau of Plant Quarantine. (PAIO-PR)   ^ Top
