PHO holds annual health assessment
Health personnel from the Provincial Health Office,
Municipal Health Office, Rural Health Office, Integrated
Community Health Services Program (ICHSP), and Municipal
and District Hospitals met last week for a three-day
Annual Health Assessment held at Rengel Hotel, this
City.
About eighty-three health personnel came and participated
in the activity designed to assess the effectiveness
and efficiency of delivery of basic health services
to the people; to determine and identify their strengths
and weaknesses; to identify major health problems;
to identify areas and hospitals that need attention
and, eventually to formulate measures to further
improve the delivery of basic health services in
Palawan.
Dr. Antonio Palanca, acting Provincial Health Officer
and Dr. Luz Escubil, assistant Provincial Health
Officer led the three-day annual health assessment.
