The House foreign affairs committee has scheduled
a public hearing on March 2 to look into the reported
poaching activities of Chinese fishing vessels in
Palawan.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set
to turn-over this week some three hundred and eighty
(380) computer units to nineteen (19) selected public
high schools in the province of Palawan. DTI release
said the computers form part of the P600-M non-project
grant of the Government of Japan to the Philippines.

A newly organized group of tricycle operators and
drivers catering specifically to tourists will be
allowed access to other zones assigned to other
tricycle associations to enable them to service

TO THE FIRING SQUAD. So with the House Bill 2031
we continue to find ourselves in a bind. Among the
straits used for international navigation which
are strategically important, eight are entirely
within the Philippine archipelago in our
internal waters under our constitution but in archipelagic
waters under UNCLOS. Our adherence to UNCLOS raises
fundament questions which have bearings on our security
and integrity as an independence state. Why should
we hurry to legislate HB 2031? House Bill 2031 will
serve the interests of foreign military powers at
our position with respect to UNCLOS?

For failing to settle P1.4 million in electric
