PAF member injured in a vehicular accident
A member of the Philippine Air Force TSgt. Felino Gumawa was severely
injured in a traffic accident which transpired along the City’s
national highway in the early morning of January 12.
The City Police report disclosed that Gumawa was on his Suzuki Crystal
with plate number DK-6472 when a speeding vehicle driven by Darwin Covania
hit him. He was immediately brought to Palawan Provincial Hospital for
medication and was later transferred to the Western Command Hospital
for recuperation.
Meanwhile, Covania, 18 years old, was driving a Honda Dream motorcycle
with plate number DN-2842. He was temporarily held under the custody
of the City PNP and was released after 12 hours. Police blotter records
showed that on January 11, a day before the accident, Covania was caught
on violation of RA 4136 or driving without license. Both motor vehicles
