Rizal mayor suspended for misconduct

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan last Tuesday slapped a 1-year suspension against Rizal Mayor Samson I. Degillo, uphelding an administrative complaint filed against the latter by a political rival, Nicolas Montaño.

Move to ease traffic flow in Poblacion urged

In an attempt to abate the unwanted traffic congestion in the city proper main thoroughfares, City Councilor Nesario Awat last week urged the use of the jeepney and bus terminal in the New Public Market as an alternative move to ease the worsening traffic situation in the Poblacion. Atty. Awat attributed the situation to the mushrooming and sporadic shuttle van and jeepney terminals in the city proper that further aggravate the traffic congestion.
